In a moment of weakness, we in the Shed decided that we should raise money for Alzheimer’s Research, to do our small bit to help tackle a disease that affects our families, as it does so many families.

In a moment of even greater weakness, we decided to sign up for the Thames Path Challenge. The idea being that we walk 100 Kilometres (62 miles) in one go  – in under 30 hours basically, walking through the night and all that. Of course that’s clearly quite barmy, I feel tired driving 62 miles let alone walking it, but we are reasonably confident we can make it to the 75 km mark, though we will try our hardest to go the whole hog.

It would be very nice of you if you would sponsor us, and make it all worth while. There are 3 of us in the team, all of whom have appeared at one time or another on the History of England or a Shedcast.

There’s Davie of Seven Songs. Think of shanties, Robbie  Burns – and the theme music. There’s Izzy, otherwise known as Joan of Arc and various parts large and small, and there’s me, David. In this episode, Davie plays and sings 4 bits of music loosely (very loosely) connected to Tudor Medecine, while I talk a bit about how Tudor Medicine worked.
