HiT Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure

Bill & Ted 2

The 1989 film’s trip through time started by being received heinously by critics, and yet it’s journey has been most unprecedented until now  it is remembered excellently. Though probably not for the quality of its history.

  1. I just watched this for the first time in years thanks to the podcast.

It is excellent childhood nostalgia, for my brothers 4 birthday (so I was 6 and my baby brother was 2) we went and saw this in the theatre, then at dinner at Pizza Hut, then back home for ice cream, cake and gifts which was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles everything!

Thank you for the laughter, positive memories and nostalgic 80’s silliness, great job with the podcast, keep up the excellent work. ❤️❤️

    1. It’s such a good film isn’t it? Obviously, had to work hard to describe it as a history film!

  2. Watched the movie several years ago, will need to re-watch it for the fun of it (again).

Really enjoying your Anglo Saxon history, I find tidbits you mention and that Jamie Jeffers also mentions in his British History podcast. You both have opened my eyes and mind to the great impact of the Anglo-Saxons, which I had usually skimmed over before. Our youngest daughter is going to school at the University of Chester and studying medieval history and archeology, I am in America (Texas) and I am just trying to be able to speak intelligently to her about some of these lesser known facts. Thanks for your podcast.

    1. Thanks Brian; I hope they pass the test when you use them with your daughter! And thank you for listening.

  3. My 14 year old daughter just discovered this movie and is laughing out loud watching it. Clearly this movie is a timeless classic. Loved your analysis of it too 🙂
